Mother Nature’s prairie surprises

These beautiful weeds covered much of my prairie this summer.

Monarda (bee balm) the dark red variety is “raspberry wine”. I didn’t plant it; it just showed up.

Click to see (and hear) a short video clip of the bee balm (monarda) blowing in the wind.

Goldenrod covered the prairie in late summer to fall.
